Wythall Together
The charity was set up in May 2014 with the primary aim of becoming responsible for the day to day management of the Public Library building situated in May Lane. This would be an interim measure until it moved into the Hub at Woodrush Academy. Due to delays outside of the charity’s control this never materialised and the charity focused on setting up a Community Transport Service with the West Midlands Special Needs Transport. This service is named the Wythall Dial-a-Ride and provides assisted transport for local people who cannot easily use or gain access to regular bus services. Details of the service are available at the Parish Office, on this website, under transport, and in the Library.
The charity is actively looking for ways to support our local community and is open to suggestions from the public about other suitable projects. At the moment we have six trustees and meet four times a year with other meetings as and when needed. The meetings are open to the public and notes from the meetings are available below.

Countryside Carers:
- Contact Suzie Ashley (Secretary)
- Phone 07811 468500
The prime aims of the group are:
-
To organise walks around the Footpaths and Boundaries of Wythall.
-
To improve way marking on the Public Rights of Way.
-
To repair, replace and improve the stiles and gates on the Public Rights of Way and improve access to the Countryside of Wythall.
In their continuing work in the countryside around Wythall, the Carers’ work in tidying up some of the less cared for corners of our parish has grown to include aspects of conservation work and tree planting.
The Carers are very active and meet every third Saturday morning of the month at the chosen task site, to spend a few hours between 09.30 and 12.00, clearing the undergrowth or installing one of the new County Council metal gates. We continue to improve access to the beautiful areas around our parish.
More volunteers are needed, if you are interested and have some time to spare please contact The Secretary at the number above.
