WYTHALL PARISH COUNCIL

 

Wythall Parish is made up of six wards:

  • Wythall Heath
  • Hollywood
  • Truemans Heath
  • Headly Heath 
  • Grimes Hill 
  • Drakes Cross

 

The Parish Council has 15 locally elected Councillors who representing the views of residents in the Parish. 

 

Parish Council elections take place every four years. The current Council was elected in May 2019. 

THE PARISH COUNCIL'S OBJECTIVE 

 

The Parish Council is committed to:

 

  • Providing relevant and cost-effective local services to the residents of Wythall
  • Preserving the semi-rural identity of Wythall and the green belt within it.
  • Developing the economic viability of the village whilst maintaining its semi-rural personality.
  • Helping the local community to develop facilities to meet local needs.

 

Wythall Parish Council has limited powers but a reasonable amount of influence when it comes to Planning. Every application is scrutinsed by the Parish Councils Planning Committee. The Committees comments are sent to Bromsgrove District Council who will then review the application with consideration to the Parish Councils comment.

 

In order for the Parish Council to achieve its objective, it provides the Parish with essential services, undertakes regular activities in the community and annually implements projects
